LUYUAN Group, a global leader in electric two-wheeler innovation, today announced the official launch of its Chongqing Smart Manufacturing Base, a landmark project that achieved mass production just 11 months after groundbreaking. With a Phase I investment of ¥530 million (approx. $73 million USD), the facility exemplifies the company's commitment to speed, efficiency, and sustainable industrial transformation.

A New Benchmark for Smart Manufacturing
The Chongqing base, LUYUAN’s most advanced production hub to date, features the industry's largest single-unit assembly workshop and adheres to China's “Manufacturing 2025” standards. Leveraging big data, IoT, and AI-driven automation, the facility is designed as a “smart manufacturing demonstration model”, integrating lessons from LUYUAN's nationwide production network. Phase I operations will deliver an annual output of 2 million electric scooters  with an estimated annual revenue of ¥4 billion (approx. $550 million USD), while creating over 2,000 local jobs.

Green Manufacturing at Its Core
Aligned with China's 14th Five-Year Plan for smart manufacturing, the base prioritizes carbon neutrality across the product lifecycle. From raw material sourcing to production and end-user operations, LUYUAN has implemented comprehensive energy-saving and emission-reduction measures. The facility aims to become a “zero-carbon benchmark” in the two-wheeler industry, setting new standards for sustainable practices in global mobility.

Driving Regional Growth and Global Expansion
Strategically positioned in Chongqing—a hub for China's Western Land-Sea Corridor—the base will serve as a green mobility industrial ecosystem, combining R&D, production, sales, and workforce training. It is expected to strengthen supply chain integration across western China while expanding LUYUAN's reach into Central Asia and Southeast Asia via Belt and Road markets.

Wave 3.0 Initiative: Collaborative Innovation
Coinciding with the launch, LUYUAN unveiled its upgraded Wave 3.0 Initiative, uniting 63 strategic suppliers, the National Motorcycle Quality Inspection and Testing Center, and an expert think tank led by scholars from Peking University and other institutions. This alliance aims to accelerate technological breakthroughs and establish a shared innovation platform for the EV industry.
